2013Our 2012… | Vancouver Portrait Photographer
Tempus Fugit – Time Flies. And it sure did for us!
The velocity of 2012 has caught us by surprise considering our initial shoot started in the Spring. Then it all went warp speed through to end of the year. Arghh!!! And here we are already! The photo-shoots have brought us to many cool locations in the Vancouver region. This year took us to gorgeous coastal parklands in Burnaby, quaint farms in Maple Ridge and Langley, White Rock’s beaches and many others including an urban studio shoot in a concrete basement! But through it all, Anne and I have had the greatest pleasure to meet and connect with some really wonderful people.
Reflecting back this amazing year the one word that stood out is – relationships. When we first set out in our portrait business we always believe that images need to be authentic and relate-able. Our vision is to document relationships through our photography. Our Storybook Collection augments that vision in the form of fine-art albums. I supposed we must be doing something right as our storytelling photography work has been noticed by a major professional print house in the US!
We want to thank you for your support and encouragements. Anne and I truly appreciate you because you stood with us when we first birth Veritas Images and are still with us we continue to grow. Most of all we thank you for believing in our work. So without further ado as it was with last year, here are some highlights of 2012! Or you can visit the full HD version!
Thank You & God Bless,
Alwin & Anne

2012

Get ready for images overload! Last Saturday we find ourselves in downtown Vancouver to cover Safiya & Duane’s beautiful wedding. The ceremony was held at the awe-inspiring St. Andrew’s Wesley church. The details were exquisite. You might remember we have partnered with Vancouver wedding photographer Bruce Mastin. He is a great joy to work with. Totally cool and talk about “in the zone”! After the ceremony, we pretty much stopped traffic as we meandered along the downtown core for some urban formals. Heh!
Safiya & Duane have some really wonderful set of families and friends. Near and far, everyone came for the soirée! The reception was at the gorgeous Law Courts Inn with a grand view of Vancouver’s skyline!

2012When I look at the above photo, one thing came to my mind “Whoa! Jumping bridesmaid on high heels!”. Only my pal and fab photog could get them to do such crazy antics! I am so pumped to give a shout-out to my friend Bruce Mastin of Iconic Photography! After a coupla years of hiatus to spend time with his children, he has decided to return to what he does best – shooting awesome wedding photos for the brides and grooms in Vancouver area. This really excites me!
As our business continues to grow, Anne and I have been looking to partner-up with another photographer to explore other service offerings. Bruce himself have been in search of an associate photographer to help with his weddings. So after an evening of one too many coffee, we thought it would be great to collaborate! A collision course of sorts with two photographers with distinct and yet complimentary style of photography.
Bruce brings with him a certain sense of wacky fun. Somewhat like me. I’m just better looking. At the same time, he has a keen eye on documenting the emotions of the day. And this is what wedding photography is all about. There are somethings in one’s weddings worth revisiting. Food… meh. Your vows? Maybe. Love songs by Air Supply? NOPE! But great images are to be revisited over and over again. You can read more about Bruce HERE.
